Managing Director Brian Lee Crowley joined CTV News to discuss the tense exchanged witnessed at the G20 summit between Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and President Xi Jinping. According to Crowley, the terse exchange is not unprecedented as the Chinese government has previously levied threats and shown itself capable of an aggressive foreign policy.
“I thought his [Xi Jinping’s] body language communicated disrespect and a disinterest in what the Prime Minister was saying, and the esteem (or lack of esteem) in which Xi hold’s the Prime Minister,” said Crowley.
