Canada is the only major democracy without its own foreign intelligence, lagging behind other G7 countries. MLI Senior Fellow Christian Leuprecht joins the Forum Daily to discuss how this can put Canadians at risk and why Canada should improve its foreign intelligence gathering capabilities.
“Canadian Security Intelligence Service is a security service in the sense that is only primarily has a domestic mandate and it has a very limited ability to collect human intelligence outside of Canada,” notes Leuprecht.
