Intelligence agencies in the US, the UK, and Canada have alleged that Russian hackers are targeting organizations researching and developing a COVID-19 vaccine. MLI senior fellow Marcus Kolga was on CBC News to discuss the actions of these Russian hackers.
“In the Canadian statement regarding this, they’ve clearly indicated there’s some intent by the Russian hackers to hinder our attempts,” notes Kolga of the recent hacking attacks. “That includes Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, to hinder our attempts to combat the virus.”
Kolga goes on to discuss the intentions of the Russian hackers, the political implications of this latest attack, and the continued disinformation campaign.
