With the ongoing crisis between Ukraine and Russia raising important questions about the sanctity of international borders in the 21st century, many are wondering just how much Canada can contribute in international affairs alongside larger powers such as the United States.
In the latest edition of Inside Policy, the magazine of the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, member of Parliament and Ukrainian-Canadian Chrystia Freeland says now is Canada’s time to shine on the world stage.
Drawing on our history of multiculturalism and examples of other countries’ diplomatic successes, Freeland argues that Canada is well-positioned to ride the new wave of multilateralism that is coursing through international affairs.
