MLI Senior Fellow Christian Leuprecht joined guest host Arlene Bynon to discuss why Canada failed to invoke any dispute clause when China failed to follow through with a vaccine deal. They also discuss how the two Michaels, currently still in detention, may be the reason behind Canada’s decision to not invoke the clause.

“It’s an ongoing bewilderment with how this country continues to deal with China,” notes Leuprecht. “I think this all points to the fact that we don’t have a strategy.”
