Senior Fellow Marcus Kolga joined CTV News to discuss the federal government announcing the creation of a team to counter Russian disinformation and propaganda.
According to Kolga, the creation of a such a team is crucial to countering Russian attempts at subverting confidence in democratic institutions through disinformation.
“It’s really important that the government take a strong focus on combatting Russian disinformation to protect our democracy. As long as Vladimir Putin is in power, and other autocrats are in power, they’re going to continue doing this and attacking our democracy,” said Kolga.
