Rob Wildeboer, CEO of Martinrea International Inc. and former chairman of the board of the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, appeared on BNN Bloomberg to discuss how manufacturing companies have adapted in wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
“It’s relatively easy to stop the industry, it’s hard to restart after ten weeks,” says Wildeboer. He goes on to the discuss how companies have adapted their protocols to meet the safety requirements of COVID-19.
Wildeboer also discusses the challenges the auto industry faces when it comes to supply chain management. As well, Wildeboer comments on the cultural shift in consumer choice in the auto industry as more people are moving to remote work and concerns mount regarding the public health risks of mass transits.
