Speaking to Global National, MLI Managing Director Brian Lee Crowley again called on the federal government to force the provinces to break down barriers to internal trade
“Ottawa needs to accept the responsibility and duty that comes with being the national government and fix this”, Crowley said.
The comments echo a recent column he wrote for the Globe and Mail that argues the federal government needs to create a charter of economic rights that the courts will enforce. Otherwise, he says, recent attempts by Minister of Industry James Moore are likely to again be unsuccessful in dealing with the issue.
