Writing in the Vancouver Sun, columnist Don Cayo uses a recently-released MLI report to argue that Canadian governments need to scale back their reliance on regulation or risk falling behind in international trade.
The report from MLI Senior Fellow Philip Cross, titled “Estimating the True Size of Government: Adjusting for regulation”, combines with a previously-released paper on tax expenditures to reveal just how much of the economy government controls.
