On Wednesday May 8, 2019, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute (MLI) was pleased to host Latvia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Dr. Artis Pabriks, for a high-level roundtable discussion on Russian disinformation activities.
In this exclusive event, the Latvian delegation shared their perspectives on the threats that Russia poses to the Baltic region.
In addition to Dr. Pabriks, Latvia’s Ambassador to Canada, Kārlis Eihenbaums, and the Latvian Undersecretary of State, Policy Director of the Ministry of Defence, Janis Karlsbergs joined the delegation.
A diverse range of participants were part of this important discussion, including former correspondents, academics, civil service leaders, diplomats, and more.
