MLI Senior Fellow Richard Shimooka spoke with CBC News about Ottawa’s announcement of $9 million to replace howitzer barrels in Ukraine as well as the current state of affairs in the Russo-Ukrainian War.
“What we’re seeing in Ukraine is basically a large-scale artillery-centered conflict where there is heavy usage of systems, like the M777 which we and the Americans have sent…in order to try to stem the Russian attacks in the East of the country.”
