Brian Lee Crowley has some advice for natural resource companies and First Nations groups: “We need to stop focusing on the individual projects”.
Instead of allowing pipelines like Northern Gateway to dominate the conversation, he told the Vancouver Sun, we should be paying more attention to the ground rules governing relations between First Nations and the natural resource companies hoping to develop their lands.
All parties should agree on a general operating framework and then go from there, he said.
