The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) today named Lincoln Caylor to its new Investor Advisory Panel. Mr. Caylor serves as the Secretary on the Board of the Macdonald-Laurier Institute.
It is a testament to Mr. Caylor’s talents and abilities that he was one of only seven chosen from more than 119 individuals who applied to serve on this key new advisory group. The members were selected based on their experience with investor issues and public policy development, among other criteria.
The OSC Investor Advisory Panel, announced earlier this year, will provide input on the work of the Commission, its rules, policies and the annual Statement of Priorities, as well as providing advice on specific issues requested by the Commission.
In making the appointment, the OSC noted that Mr. Caylor is a “Commercial litigator with Bennett Jones LLP, with significant advocacy and investigative experience acting for victims of securities and investment fraud.[and] Member of the board of the Macdonald Laurier Institute, a non-partisan think tank based in Ottawa.”
