MLI Senior Fellow Shawn Whatley joined the Roy Green Show to discuss the latest update to the MLI COVID Misery Index. The latest update reveals that Canada remains the worst among its peer in terms of the misery brought by an ineffective response to the pandemic. Whatley discusses the methodology behind the COVID Misery Index, the policy responses, and where Canada continues to fail.
As Whatley notes, “we are locking down not because of the disease itself, but because the system we are relying on doesn’t have the capacity to care for a few hundred extra people getting sick.”
