The COVID-19 crisis has provided a moment of clarity for many countries, including Canada, on the importance of greater cooperation between like-minded allies, and reinforcing secure supply chains. Lockdowns around the world have revealed important weaknesses in the system for transporting and manufacturing vital goods. The world’s democracies have been overly dependent on authoritarian regimes to our detriment.
To shed light on these issues, this webinar brought experts from Canada and around the world to examine how democratic allies can cooperate to defend our economic security in the pandemic and beyond.
