Given that US authorities have repeatedly warned Canada about the dangers of allowing Huawei into our 5G network, the question that hangs over us now is: will our government heed these warnings? MLI Senior Fellow Christian Leuprecht was on the Roy Green Show to discuss this looming decision on Huawei.
“As a middle power, we’re always going to be stuck between the security priorities and economic priorities,” explains Leuprecht. “And we just don’t have the leverage that an ally such as the United States does.”
