On CTV News earlier this week, Munk Senior Fellow Christian Leuprecht discussed the criticisms Finance Minister Bill Morneau is currently facing for not taking certain actions to eliminate a possible conflict of interest between his ministerial position and business holdings.
As Leuprecht comments, the Canadian public holds its government officials to a very high standard, and expects of them to follow not only the letter of the law, but the spirit of the law.
