The Macdonald-Laurier Institute is excited to announce that Dr. Tim Sargent (Ph.D. Economics) has joined our team as a Senior Fellow and as our new Director of Domestic Policy!
Tim is a gifted leader with nearly three decades of experience in the federal government. He has held Deputy Minister and Associate Deputy Minister positions at Fisheries and Oceans, International Trade, Finance, and Agriculture and AgriFood, as well as senior positions at the Privy Council Office.
“Tim is the genuine article – a knowledgeable and imaginative policy thinker with a passion for making Canada better. We couldn’t be more pleased that he’s agreed to lead our growing domestic policy team. We’re confident in his ability to forward the institute’s thought leadership on the full range of domestic policy issues, including, economic policy, trade, health, justice, social issues, and more.”
– Brian Lee Crowley, MLI’s Managing Director
