An Ontario judge has ruled that the downing of flight PS752 – which carried dozens of Canadian passengers and was shot down in January 2020 by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC) – was an intentional act of terrorism. MLI Senior Fellow Kaveh Shahrooz joined CBC’s Power & Politics to discuss the ruling and how despite it, the path forward in the search for justice for victims remains challenging.
“It’s going to be difficult to collect on this judgement and there are going to be some complications and complexities when the plaintiffs try to seek justice,” says Shahrooz.
