Canadian Guleid Abdihakim appeared in court in Nairobi, Kenya under suspicion of helping gunmen who took part in the recent Al-Shabab attack on the Nairobi hotel complex that left 21 people dead. Munk Senior Fellow Christian Leuprecht spoke to Global News about the attack.
“CSIS will have already been in touch with our counterparts in security and intelligence in Kenya on this,” notes Leuprecht. They will have also worked overtime over the weekend to ascertain “who might be affiliated with the individuals or who might possibly pose a risk to public safety in Canada.”
