: Senior Fellow
Dr. Casey Babb is a Senior Fellow with the Macdonald Laurier Institute, an International Fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv, and an Associate Fellow with the Royal United Services Institute in London, England. He teaches courses on terrorism and international security at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) in Ottawa, Canada.
Babb's academic research, which has been published in peer-reviewed journals, volumes, and books in Canada, the United States, and Europe, focuses on subjects related to terrorism and the future of warfare, including cyber conflict, the role emerging technologies will have on the battlefield, and other contemporary issues. In addition, his views and expertise on antisemitism, Jewish life, and matters related to Israeli security, have been featured in numerous publications, including in The Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Jerusalem Post, The Times of Israel, The Cipher Brief, and many others.
As one of the country’s foremost experts on confronting antisemitism and Israeli national security, his commentary on these issues have been sought by many of the world’s largest news outlets, including CNN, the CBC, the BBC, FOX News, CTV News, Global News, The Sun, NewsNation, and countless others.
He holds degrees in Political Science and International Development (BA) from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, International Relations (MA) from York University in Toronto, and International Relations (Ph.D.) from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, in Ottawa.
