MLI Senior Fellow Kaveh Shahrooz joins Natasha Fatah on CBC to discuss a recent rally in Richmond Hill in support of Iranian protestors and in condemnation of the authorities and their crackdown. “It was a statement by the Iranian-Canadian community… speaking about a need for change and speaking up for the protestors in Iran,” says Shahrooz. He also spoke of the frustration among Iranian-Canadians over the federal government’s lack of initiative in sanctioning members of the regime and designating the IRGC as a terrorist organization.
