Millions in at least 17 countries were hit by ransomware attacks targeting customers of Kaseya IT services. MLI Senior Fellow Christian Leuprecht joined the Forum Daily to discuss the ramifications of these kinds of cyberattacks, and whether Canada is ready to face them.
“This is not an attack on critical infrastructure that we saw with SolarWinds,” notes Leuprecht. “But it is much broader because it effects so many more companies, and so that makes it much more difficult to gauge the broader consequences both for the economy and for the viability of companies.”
