The Macdonald-Laurier Institute will be co-presenting a discussion on civil society in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
MLI Managing Director Brian Lee Crowley will take part in a panel under the title “Shrinking Space for Civil Society? Importance of Media Pluralism for Democracy in Eastern Europe and the Middle East”.
The event, taking place from 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at the University of Ottawa, is co-organized with the University of Ottawa’s Human Rights Research and Education Centre, the European Endowment for Democracy, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ottawa.
