MLI Foreign Policy Program Director and Munk Senior Fellow Shuvaloy Majumdar joined MLI Senior Fellow Jamil Jivani to discuss how China is trying to stoke racial divisions over social media in North America.
“What happens is that China uses the platforms we have built to exploit those divisions in our countries and to agitate into this paradoxical reality of equivalence,” says Majumdar. “Where somehow our own struggles in society are the equivalent of what [the Chinese regime] are attempting to accomplish in theirs.”
