Jon Hartley

Jon Hartley is a Canadian economist, researcher, and business commentator. He is a Research Fellow at the Foundation For Research on Equal Opportunity, a Research Associate at the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation and a Research Assistant to John Cochrane at the Hoover Institution. His writing is regularly featured in national media including the Globe and Mail, and he has spent time as an economics column contributor for both Forbes and the Huffington Post. Additionally, he has consulted for The World Bank and advised the U.S. Congress, Joint Economic Committee.

Mr. Hartley holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Chicago, a M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School. He is currently completing his PhD in Economics at Stanford.
