Macdonald-Laurier Institute Senior Fellow Alex Wilner, a thought leader on Canadian defence policy and international affairs, will speak about the future of technology in warfare at an event in Ottawa on March 30, 2016.
Wilner will take part in the panel “Advanced Technology, New Domains and the Future of Warfare”.
The event is taking place as part of the Mackenzie Institute’s “Canada’s Defence Perspectives 2020-2050” conference, taking place in Ottawa on March 29 and 30, 2016.
Participating with Wilner on the panel are Lt Gen. (Ret’d) D. Mike Day and Dr. Andrew Johnston, Program Leader, Security Materials Technology with the National Research Council.
Wilner has established himself as a leading thinker on defence policy and international affairs.
Last year he authored a commentary paper for MLI on the next steps the world should take in the fight against Islamic State. He has also authored several recent op-eds on the subject.
