Kerry Sun is a doctoral student at Merton College, Oxford and a Fortescue Scholar with the Canterbury Institute, Oxford, where his research focuses on rights-based accounts of tort law. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto and Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford. Before commencing postgraduate studies, he was a litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and served as a law clerk to the judges of the Court of Appeal of Alberta and to the Honourable Sheilah L. Martin at the Supreme Court of Canada. His academic interests include natural law theory, theory of private law, and methodologies of rights adjudication.
