MLI Munk Senior Fellow Christian Leuprecht and MLI author Aurel Braun attended the Rīga Conference this past weekend.
The two-day conference, held in the capital of Latvia, brings together the world’s leading experts in foreign policy and defence to discuss transatlantic issues.
At the conference, Dr. Leuprecht moderated a conversation between Dr. Braun and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Estonia, Marko Mihkelson. The three shared their thoughts on which transatlantic values NATO member countries share, and how these values are being threatened in the face of a strained relationship between NATO, the West and Russia.
