On January 30th, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute hosted a roundtable discussion in collaboration with the Embassy of Kosovo at Kildare House in Ottawa.
The event, moderated by Jonathan Berkshire Miller, Senior Fellow at MLI, and Director of Foreign Affairs, National Defence, and National Security, featured a distinguished guest, Liza Gashi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo.
Participants engaged in a focused dialogue on general security considerations in Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The discussion highlighted the current security situation in Kosovo and addressed broader regional issues including the Ukraine-Russia conflict, Russian interference, and intelligence operations in Serbia.
The event provided a platform for strategic insights and policy recommendations aimed at fostering stability and cooperation in the region.
