But this affordability comes with steep\, hidden national security risks. These connected vehicles carry capabilities for data harvesting\, remote surveillance\, and even integrated “kill switches” that could halt transit systems during a foreign policy crisis. \nThis panel discussion\, presented in partnership with Prosperity\, Not Poverty\, confronts the immediate dangers facing Canada’s critical infrastructure and will examine Ottawa’s controversial tariff reductions\, the threat Chinese EVs pose to the integrated North American auto-industry and Canada-US trade\, and why the allied militaries are already banning these vehicles from sensitive installations.
